ABSTRACT |
The book provides a thorough analysis of the Council of the European Union Framework Decision of 19 July 2002 on combating trafficking in human beings (2002/629/JHA) as well as the transposition and impact on national criminal law in some key European countries such as Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Greece and Eastern European countries. The book consists of a series of essays written by several specialists in the field and it includes the full text of the framework decision in both English and French. The main aim of this publication is to develop a methodology for assessing and evaluating the impact and the implementation of European criminal law, in order to strengthen the European area of Justice, Freedom and Security. |
