TIME FOR EQUALITY: CLOSING GAPS OPENING TRAILS: THIRTY-THIRD SESSION OF ECLAC (BRASILIA, 30 MAY-1 JUNE, 2010) |
|
ABSTRACT |
The documents included in this publication were presented by ECLAC at its thirty-third session in Brasilia in 2010. It addresses the issues of the development of democracy and the creation of greater equality of opportunities and rights for people around the world. This publication points to six strategic areas where development with equality in access to rights should be achieved: formulating a macroeconomic policy for inclusive development; facilitating production and territorial convergence; providing more and better employment opportunities; closing social gaps and providing the framework for a fiscal covenant that has a grater redistributive effect, while strengthening the Government and ensure the respect of the welfare thresholds. |
