Turin, 23 February 2009. Aimed to tell an innovative image of Africa, finis terrae – literally land’s end – is the new monthly review published by the homonymous publishing house.
The magazine was presented the 24 February at the International Training Centre of the ILO, within the UN campus, during the international round table titled “Africa on the run”. The meeting included the intervention of, Mr. François Eyraud (Director of ILO), Mr. Sandro Calvani (Director of UNICRI), Adriana Fara, (Editor in Chief of finis terrae), Pio Mastrobuoni (Vice President of the Italian Institute for Africa and the East), Alberto Antoniotto (Professor of Cultural Antropology - University of Turin), Djankou Ndjonkou (Senior Adviser of the ILO).
Based at the Turin Headquarters, Finis Terrae has the overall goal to provide 360-degree analysis on the hottest issues of the continent. Interviews, special reports, and economic analyses are available in three languages with the main purpose of expanding an audience among the academia and the experts.
