In November 2005 and February 2006 UNICRI organized advanced training courses in Bogota, Colombia, for twenty judges and public prosecutors chosen amongst the most highly qualified individuals of the anti-corruption offices of the four Andean countries. Under the supervision of UNICRI, academics, magistrates and officials from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Mexico, Portugal and USA, gave lectures to deepen the knowledge on this issue, especially through a comprehensive analysis of case studies. Moreover, senior representatives of the Organization of the American States (OAS), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Bogota (UNODC) and UNICRI offered technical contributions.
